Logistics, from the European Union and Africa visiting Tolmezzo to study Friulian excellence

A delegation from the European Digilogic project, which involves European and African start-ups and companies, recently visited the logistics hub of the Friulian Ceccarelli Group in Amaro

Logistics is much more than transportation and the horizontal connection between the various segments of modern economic systems. Logistics and supply chain management ensure production, trade and, consequently, the competitiveness of economies.

They are convinced of this at Friuli Innovazione which, as part of the European "Digilogic" project, in recent days asked the Ceccarelli Group, Friulian leader in the logistics and transport sector, to host a German, Ghanaian, Nigerian and Finnish delegation in the Amaro hub . Guiding the participants inside the Amaro logistics hub, an area that measures approximately 6,500 square meters in total, were the vice president of the Ceccarelli Group, Mariarosa Zermano, and the group's CEO, Gabriel Fanelli.

"At the school of excellence"

The purpose of the visit, which was attended by the delegation made up of about fifteen people, was to present Ceccarelli Group as a local center of excellence in the field of digital innovation and complex logistics, thus offering the project partners an training and networking opportunities for innovators and small businesses on the two continents. Yes, because the European "Digilogic" project, which started in 2021 at the request of the European Commission, is the first transcontinental Digital Innovation Hub between the European Union and Africa for innovation in logistics. A project intended to allow the growth of a common ecosystem of innovators, where both European and African talents will benefit from access to technologies, knowledge and market and investment opportunities.

Digilogic is a project developed by a consortium that includes three European Digital Innovation Hubs - Digital Hub Logistics Dortmund (Germany), Vtt (Finland) and Friuli Innovazione (Italy); two African DIHs – Mest (Ghana) and BongoHive (Zambia); an NGO that deals with systemic change, Endeva (Germany) and Apodissi a small Nigerian technological company, founded by Adriano Mauro, a Friulian entrepreneur.
