Handling 8,400 square meters of space, with shipments to Italy and throughout Europe, and comprehensive in-house logistics.
First Pradamano, then Tolmezzo, and later Budoia. Not to mention the entry into significant European networks to expand commercial horizons from the United Kingdom to France, the Iberian Peninsula to Germany, and Eastern Europe. Now, for Ceccarelli Group, a leading company in the logistics and transportation sector, with headquarters in Udine but also offices in Tolmezzo, Pradamano, Budoia, Trieste, Padua, Milan, and Prato, the piece of the puzzle is added with the interport of Cervignano del Friuli, one of the most important centers in the lower Friulian plain and a major communication hub located in the Baltic-Adriatic corridor. In fact, with the new TEN-T regulation, which redefines the map of the large European transport networks, the Council of the European Union has consolidated Italy's position as a Euro-Mediterranean logistics hub.
"The settlement of Ceccarelli Group at the Interporto Cervignano site," comments the director of the Interport, Tiziana Maiori, "is further confirmation of the path the company is taking. Interporto Cervignano is in fact investing heavily in infrastructure to guarantee better results in terms of increasing traffic and customer satisfaction. We therefore welcome Ceccarelli Group with great pleasure, hoping that it is the beginning of a satisfactory commercial relationship and an opportunity for growth for the future of the entire lower Friulian area."
The new settlement
In Cervignano, Ceccarelli Group will manage an area of 8,400 square meters divided into 7 modules from which shipments will depart for the entire national territory, but also, through Cursor, the Group's international division, to the rest of Europe. Here, 4 new warehouse employees, direct employees of Ceccarelli Group, will be employed for a 7-day-a-week operation and a daily consolidation of 15 vehicles from the Group's fleet for shuttle and departure activities.
However, it is not just about shipping, because Ceccarelli Group will also manage its logistics solutions at the Interporto di Cervignano using software developed internally by Euro's, the Group's software house, and by outsourcing the existing resources.
"With this new opening," explains the president of Ceccarelli Group, Luca Ceccarelli, "we will manage an important integrated logistics operation, which will embrace every business unit of our Group, from national to international transport, to software integration and, finally, logistics. Our value proposition as a supply chain solutions provider will guarantee the outbound of goods produced on three shifts, seven days a week. Currently," he continues, "the location is single-tenant and we have every interest in maintaining and expanding the settlement. Therefore, we have already intensified relationships and contacts to lay the foundations for new opportunities for integrated logistics.
The know-how acquired in recent years and the continuous research and development of new solutions and integrations with our customers," concludes Ceccarelli, "have allowed us to conclude this new opportunity, which represents a further step forward for our Group, favoring new employment and connection between the public and private sectors."
